Spicy Crackers

This is such a simple recipe of an awesome snack. You can eat it just like that, pair it up with tea or coffee or pack a few in a zip-lock for a long drive.

Everytime I have made this, people have loved it and packed all the left overs, sparing none for me ;)
Everyone who has ever eaten this has come back to me asking for its recipe.
And it is so hard to believe that it is so easy and quick to make, with such few things needed.

Ingredients :
  • 1 box of unsalted Saltine Crackers
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 2 Tbsp garlic salt
  • 2 Tbsp crushed red pepper

Method :
  • Mix garlic salt and red pepper into the oil and let it sit for 30 mins.
  • Slowly mix the oil mixture into the crackers.
  • Shake it  until it's well coated.
  • Preheat the oven to 250, put the crackers on a cookie sheet or a large rectangular baking tray.
  • Bake it for 5 mins. It will turn golden brownish by now.
  • Take it out and enjoy when it's cool.
  • Put it in a air tight container.

Notes :
  • You can adjust the amount of red pepper to more or less, depending on how hot you like it.
  • Same goes for garlic salt, as you may also do it with as little as 2 tsp.
  • As far as the oil goes, you may try it with vegetable oil too.
